Accomplishments:
- Created a New Media Department from scratch, taking on existing editorial employees and hiring ad sales group.
- Oversaw departmental revenue increase from 240,000 per year in 2007 to projected revenue of 1,000,000 in 2008.
- Redesigned core web site, completely overhauling look, feel, usability and navigation. Traffic increased over 25% in 3 month period.

- Developed online sales plan, promotion and training, where none existed before and took online banner ad sales from less than 2,000 per month to 20,000 per month in 3 months.

Seacoast Media Group is a news and advertising powerhouse on the seacoast of
New Hampshire and Maine encompassing seven great newspapers: The Portsmouth
Herald, Hampton Union, Exeter News-Letter, Rockingham News, York Coast County
Star, The York Weekly, and Dover Community News. Each is a proven partner and
an indispensable part of the communities they serve. Our parent company, Ottaway
Newspapers, is a division of Dow Jones Inc.
Main functions:
- Managing all aspects of the New Media Department including sales, news,
site development, personnel and day to day operations.
- Developing new revenue streams while maximizing current ones.
- Facilitating the sales efforts of a sales staff of more than 20 people.
- Forming partnerships with outside vendors to maximize site functionality.
- Forming strategic partnerships with other media companies to realize common
goals.
- Providing leadership and guidance to other less experienced Webmaster and New Media Directors within the Ottaway chain through day to day contact and speaking engagements.
- In early 2003 took over full responsibility for entire groups struggling Help Wanted category (print and online) and within 6 months had the department beating goal, something that hadn't been achieved in over 3 years.

Group (24 papers in the group) in revenue, profit margin, and site traffic.
During this period we increased department revenue from 40,000 a year to 1,750,000
a year and achieved a consistent 50% plus profit margin.
